Job Summary:
Reporting to the Director of Growth Marketing - Performance, the SEO Specialist will own the end-to-end publishing and execution workflow for Explore Disney+ across Australia, New Zealand, and Singapore, with possibly support for additional APAC English-language markets. The Specialist will collaborate closely with local stakeholders to identify and validate content that resonates with relevant markets. While responsible for technical and operational delivery; from content optimization to final publication, the role requires working within a dynamic, cross-functional environment to ensure content effectively connects consumers with the brand to drive organic traffic and conversions.
Areas of responsibilities:
Program Operations:
- Manage the Explore Disney+ editorial calendar (Airtable) for Australia, New Zealand, and Singapore.
- Coordinate article syndication with the US and JP editorial teams, tailoring content to local market preferences.
- Publish and QA articles via the CMS for Australia, New Zealand, and Singapore sites.
- Manage asset creation with the global SEO agency, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines for desktop, tablet, and mobile.
- Facilitate local review and approval processes for new pages and articles with Growth Marketing, Brand Marketing, PR, Creative, and Legal stakeholders.
- Monitor dashboards and reporting to track local site performance.
- Optimize publishing workflows to drive operational efficiency.
SEO:
- Partner with global SEO and local agency teams to identify and execute optimization opportunities.
- Collaborate with the external agency to conduct keyword research for local and syndicated articles.
- Champion technical SEO requirements (e.g., Core Web Vitals, structured data, site architecture) to ensure optimal site health.
- Reporting Lines & Accountability:
- Working Relationships
- DSS APAC Growth Marketing team based across Australia and Japan, any other APAC expansion markets: Partner closely to align on regional content strategy, identify local editorial opportunities, and validate market-relevant content.
- DSS Global Growth Marketing team (based in NYC): Collaborate to ensure brand consistency across global sites and manage translations and the formal approval workflow for all publishing.
- External SEO agency based in Australia: Coordinate with agency partners to inform SEO strategy, keyword planning, and ongoing site growth opportunities
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a SEO role or equivalent
- 2 years experience in managing content management systems and web publishing
- Proven experience in managing websites optimized for search and conversion.
- Experience in using SEMRush, Google Search Console, and GA4.
- Demonstrate ability to independently organize, break down, and structure complex problems
- Thrives in ambiguity and is flexible with working remotely with global teams
- Working knowledge of creative asset management and experience working with design/creative teams. International asset management is a plus.
