The Digital Insights Analyst will work closely with our Technical Lead, CRM, Product, Editorial and Marketing teams to develop and execute our insights strategy, a critical role in helping measure performance and define our business objectives through a deep understanding of our users and their behaviour. The focus of the role is to measure engagement and conversion, assist with data hygiene, build & maintain dashboards, and report findings/insights to management.
Our ideal candidate is an analytical and curious digital native who gets their energy from working collaboratively across multiples markets, lines of business, partners, and teams to uncover insights that will help us deliver what our customers want. You are a self starter, capable of working alone and will show initiative to share data and insights that enable data driven business decisions for multiple lines of business across the Walt Disney Company.
You’ll be trusted to lead the analysis, not just execute requests — this role requires ownership, critical thinking, and the courage to challenge assumptions.
As a clear and confident communicator, you are comfortable presenting recommendations to leaders and being able to back your views through your data.
Your key responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:
- Working closely with Product, CRM, Editorial and Marketing teams to gather and share audience data and analytics for digital properties across The Walt Disney Company business.
- Supporting the tracking and analytics for cross-line-of-business owned channel campaigns (ESPN, Disney +, Stage, Studios, Parks), providing weekly/monthly reporting with insights on campaign effectiveness.
- Offering data-backed recommendations to optimize user engagement with digital properties and conversion on marketing campaigns.
- Presenting analytics and insights to the digital team and various lines-of-business stakeholders on a regular basis.
- Using Adobe Analytics (and other tools) to track performance, create dashboards, and provide actionable insights to teams.
- Keeping up with industry trends and best practices to continuously improve the digital products.
To be successful in this role, you will hold:
- 5+ years’ experience working in data analytics, ideally for a consumer-facing product with scale
- Experience with providing data insights to a large-scale digital news/content platform is a plus
- Experience querying, updating, and managing data in SQL
- A keen interest in entertainment, sport, and sports media will be beneficial
- An analytical mindset with the ability to tell a story with the data
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment, working at pace, with multiple stakeholders (local and international), managing multiple priorities and deadlines
- Proactive problem solving with the ability to examine issues from a broad perspective
- Open minded, flexible, and adaptable in outlook and approach
- Inquisitive with a desire and capacity to learn and relearn
