Disney Theatrical Group is seeking an experienced, strategic, and highly collaborative Senior Press Agent to oversee publicity for its Broadway productions, including The Lion King, Aladdin, and Beauty and the Beast. This individual will develop and execute publicity strategies that strengthen the visibility and reputation of our productions, support audience engagement and commercial objectives, and reinforce Disney Theatrical Group’s leadership in live entertainment. - Serve as a primary liaison between productions and media outlets, managing inquiries and interviews and building trusted relationships across traditional media, theater and entertainment press, digital platforms, content creators, and emerging channels.
- Proactively champion original publicity opportunities, creative partnerships, cultural moments, and storytelling approaches that extend the relevance and reach of DTG productions beyond traditional theater media.
- Maintain a strong understanding of evolving theater, journalism, entertainment, technology, and social media landscapes, applying that knowledge to reach audiences and keep established titles culturally relevant.
- Work cross-functionally with creative, marketing, production, licensing, social media, and other internal teams to ensure consistent messaging and coordinated approaches that maximize audience engagement.
- Identify and help navigate sensitive publicity issues and potential reputational risks, coordinating with DTG leadership, Corporate Communications, Legal, and other stakeholders on thoughtful and timely responses.
- Lead publicity strategy and execution for Broadway openings, special events, anniversaries, awards campaigns, and other key moments, including press logistics and opportunities to extend impact beyond the events themselves.
- Establish meaningful measures of publicity effectiveness, assessing the quality, reach, relevance, and impact of earned media coverage. Share insights and recommendations with leadership to inform future strategy and resource allocation.
- Help shape the evolution of DTG’s publicity strategy and operations, strengthening processes, media relationships, team effectiveness, and departmental impact.
- Ensure effective systems and processes for publicity reporting, media monitoring, and organizing press assets and materials.
