We are looking for a highly strategic and creatively-driven Senior Manager responsible for the development of the Spain marketing strategy for Disney+. This role is essential in shaping the long-term positioning of our streaming platform, defining the brand’s editorial voice, and driving world-class execution through operational excellence and cultural relevance. The Senior Manager will lead Creative Operations, Brand Campaigns, and Social Strategy for our streaming platform.
You’ll be responsible for building a cohesive and resonant brand strategy, overseeing flawless creative processes, and leading a high-performing social media approach that keeps us relevant, consistent, and emotionally connected to our audience. The focus, and measurement of success, is to build brand awareness, understanding and consideration of Disney+, and awareness and excitement of high priority content drops, to help drive, in partnership with the performance & retention teams, sign ups, subscribers and loyalty.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Brand Strategy
- Will take the lead on Disney+’s marketing strategy in Spain, focusing on forward planning, and identifying trends & headroom to further build Spain business.
- Own the development and evolution of the local brand positioning, purpose, and narrative for the platform.
- Be an expert on attitudes and behaviors of key audiences and where and how to connect with them.
- Translate business goals and consumer insights into long-term brand strategies that inform marketing, creative, product, and content decisions.
- Build the brand through long-term strategy and storytelling, not just campaigns—focusing on audience perception, brand equity, and emotional connection.
- Define the brand architecture, messaging frameworks, and creative guidelines to guide internal teams and external partners.
- Partner closely with Brand Managers who oversee executional title campaigns, ensuring alignment with overarching brand strategy.
- Improve campaign effectiveness and efficiencies through delivering post-campaign analysis and integrating creative testing and cross- media campaign findings to optimize ROI.
- Assess and track key competition and make recommendations on how to react to changes within the market environment.
- Will connect the strategic thinking to the Acquisition and Retention team’s strategy, advocating for 360 views of Disney+’s marketing approach. ¿¿??
- Lead, motivate and develop the brand team, instilling it with a high-performance culture
- Will also work closely with our media agency to ensure we’re identifying and exploiting all opportunities to further our growth in this market.
Creative Operations
- Lead end-to-end creative project management for campaigns—from briefing to delivery—ensuring on-time, on-brand, and on-budget execution.
- Manage workflows between internal creative, media, brand, legal, and external agency partners.
- Define and optimize creative processes, tools, and production pipelines to scale campaign execution.
Social Media Strategy
- Define and own the local social media strategy, ensuring a cohesive narrative across platforms (Instagram, TikTok, X, YouTube, etc.).
- Drive always-on social content as well as campaign-specific activations that maximize engagement and cultural relevance.
- Oversee a team of strategists, creators, and community managers to grow our social presence and voice.
Analytics
- Will work closely with the Insights & Analytics team to put the consumer first and ensure insight guides Disney+’s strategic decisions in Spain.
- Leverage analytics and audience insights to inform content development and optimize performance.
Experience required
- 4+ years of Marketing strategy experience at a manager level or equivalent in a best-in-class Marketing team in FMCG, Entertainment or subscription Streaming services.
- Track record in successfully working in a complex matrix organization.
- Proven brand strategy and execution from campaign design to delivery.
- Strong understanding of digital content merchandising, platform curation, and UI optimization.
- A deep understanding of the consumer, competition and category is required to develop excellent consumer-facing campaigns across multiple channels.
Skills required
- Advanced skills in interpreting content performance data, with a passion for post-launch analysis and strategic iteration.
- Experience collaborating across teams, delivering through others, with senior, junior and peer stakeholders.
- Excellent communicator, experienced at presenting to stakeholders at all levels and creating presentations for senior stakeholders
- Understand the direct competitive environment (TV, SVOD, Theatrical, Subscription Services), and apply analysis and insights to gain competitive advantage.
- Ability to process data and build a strategic recommendation using results
