The Technical Compliance Operations team supports deliverables, projects, and service line owners on key initiatives to meet business objectives and/or Compliance and Governance requirements. We help through requirements, project phases from definition to closing, and risk mitigation.
Responsibilities
- Drive GIS Information Security Compliance programs and projects through the full life cycle from scoping, timelines, task management, communication, and status reporting.
- Manage Information Security Compliance programs and project interdependencies in support of GIS and business strategies, roadmaps and segment customer commitments.
- Influence and collaborate with key business partners and stakeholders to create effective processes to get work completed.
- Work with the Information Security Compliance teams to identify, prioritize and complete work on time.
- Work with the Information Security leadership, teams, business and other stakeholders to align roadmaps and strategy.
- Gain a deep understanding of the Information Security Compliance program needs, define requirements, guide work, schedule it for completion, validate stakeholder responses and provide feedback.
- Manage stakeholder engagement and management activities for large or complex projects.
- Ensure visibility into progress and status through dashboards, roadmaps, program review slides, other forms of communication.
- Drive focus on long term and near-term prioritization in support of program leadership goals & objectives.
- Partner with Information Security Compliance teams, stakeholders, and leaders to ensure efficient, accurate, and efficient processes.
- Document and evaluate use cases, project scenarios, service request types, Jira project schemas, etc. in support of process optimization.
- Identify product or process improvement opportunities by staying involved in project progress and customer feedback.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date tracking and maintenance of pending and open work items in supported tools.
- Lead complex analysis of open work items and backlog issues, providing guidance, oversight and mitigation.
- Escalate issues and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Perform outreach and ticket preparation in support of the team.
- Provide visibility into work completion via dashboards and burndown charts.
- Perform analysis of data sets and processes to identify areas of gaps in accuracy or misalignment of compliance processes.
- Support Business Operation and the PMO team with changing priorities and field ad hoc requests for department support, project consultation and guidance.
- Lead elicitation of team requirements that support team processes and projects, including creation of functional requirements, data mappings and user stories to enable process modification or development.
- Manage scope and traceability of requirements throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring that they are understood by the project team and met by the delivered solution.
- Ensure requirements are aligned to the team goals for the project and refined to enough detail to allow the team to design, develop and implement appropriate solutions.
- Combine business requirements into prioritized backlogs grouped into project iterations in time to allow goals to be met.
- Monitoring project performance, identifying areas for improvement, and recommending enhancements.
- Ensure that completed work is clearly visible and aligned to objectives.
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5+ years of program management experience, including portfolio management resulting in increased scope and responsibility.
- Basic understanding of security principles, technologies, threats, and vulnerabilities.
- Process Optimization experience resulting in streamlined and efficient processes across programs and teams.
- Ability to think strategically and drive ideas into action, with a positive outlook and willingness to take personal initiative.
- Excellent analytical, written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to think strategically and drive ideas into action, with a positive outlook and willingness to take personal initiative.
- Proficient understanding of compliance processes and practices including PCI, SOX, Control Health Checks and Audit Operations.
- Understanding of secure development practices.
- Analytics experience with managing large data sets via excel, Smartsheet, or data tables.
- Strong Agile scrum master/Agile PM experience.
- Previous experience with JIRA, Confluence, Smartsheet or similar tools.
- Basic understanding of Digital Streaming technology and infrastructure.
Education Requirement:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or comparable field of study, and/or equivalent work experience
This is a 18-month Project Hire position with no guarantee of permanent placement. Disney Worldwide Services, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA and Glendale, CA is $126,400 to $169,500 per year and in Seattle, WA and New York, NY is $132,500 to $177,600 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
