Job Description
The Wedding Day of Assistant role provides support to Disney’s Fairy Tale Wedding Event Services Managers by assisting in the coordination and execution of events. The events include but are not limited to: ceremony, reception, rehearsal, photography coordination, dessert parties and engagements. The Assistant performs the function of being the eyes and ears for Event Services Managers to ensure all the logistics are in place during the execution of the event such as confirmation photographers arrived, F&B is set, deliveries are complete, limo has arrived, etc.
This is a Casual Temporary or Seasonal role with no guarantee of weekly working hours, as hours will fluctuate based on business needs.
Position Responsibilities
The Wedding Assistant responsibilities include assisting the Event Managers with the execution of wedding events, dessert parties, and handles occasional office duties. This role also provides back-up support for DFTW Open Houses at the Franck’s Bridal Studio and Wedding Pavilion.
Basic Qualifications
- Knowledge of event execution logistics
- Effective organizational and time management skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, meet deadlines, make decisions, and quickly adjust course when necessary
- Effective problem-solving and continuous improvement skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including professional telephone etiquette
- Proven knowledge and understanding of Walt Disney World policies and procedures
- Full availability to work any day of the week, including overtime, weekends, nights, and holidays
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and smartphones
- Demonstrated Guest Service skills
- Ability to work outdoors, walk long distances, and stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of LIGHTYEAR, Outlook, and Teams
- Knowledge of weddings, resorts, and/or the hospitality industry
- Effective partnering, collaboration, and teamwork skills
- Ability to type 50 WPM with demonstrated proficiency in grammar
Required Education
- High school diploma
Preferred Education
- Associate degree in Event Management or related field

The hiring range for this position in Orlando, Florida, is $19.60 - $24.50 per hour. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
